Apple TV has released the official trailer and key art for Nocturne, a new 10-episode crime drama based on the internationally bestselling Joona Linna novel series by Lars Kepler.
The series stars and is executive-produced by Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Liev Schreiber, alongside Emmy nominee Zazie Beetz and Emmy, Golden Globe, and Actor Award winner Stephen Graham.
Graham is likely best known to audiences for his Emmy-winning turn in Netflix’s Adolescence, where he co-created, wrote, and starred as Eddie Miller, the father at the center of the acclaimed limited series.
Nocturne
Schreiber plays Jonah Lynn, an ex-soldier and homicide detective who leaves Philadelphia for a quieter life in a small Western Pennsylvania town. His hopes for a peaceful future are shattered when his community and family become targets of the calculating serial killer Jurek Walter, portrayed by Graham.
As authorities race to find Walter’s final missing victim, Jonah turns to his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer, played by Beetz. The investigation forces the two to confront increasingly dangerous choices as they pursue the elusive killer.
The ensemble cast also features Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Poorna Jagannathan and Gary Carr.
John Hlavin and BAFTA Award winner Rowan Joffe developed the series for television, with both serving as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Tim Van Patten directs the first two episodes and executive produces.
Produced by A+E Studios in association with Range Studios, Nocturne also credits Kepler among its executive producers. The author team behind the Joona Linna novels has sold approximately 20 million copies worldwide, with the books translated into 40 languages and distributed across more than 170 territories.
The series will stream exclusively on Apple TV, with new episodes released weekly following its October premiere. Check out the trailer below.
