Is All American gearing up to add some real-life football flair next season by featuring NFL rookies like Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter?
Kareem Grimes, who plays the role of Preach on the hit football drama, recently spoke to TMZ Sports after the Season 7 finale aired.
He was asked about potential cameos, and he made it clear he has some serious football talent in mind to join the cast, specifically Sanders and Hunter, who were recently drafted to the NFL.
“Shedeur and Travis have been in front of cameras,” Grimes said. “They have their own YouTube channel, so I’m pretty sure you put ’em in a space, they’ll thrive! With a little coaching, they’ll thrive!”
It’s no surprise that Grimes sees potential in Sanders and Hunter—they’ve become social media influencers with their content and massive followings. Plus, the young athletes have already proven they’re not afraid of being in front of a camera, so transitioning to acting for a guest role seems like a natural next step.
In addition to Sanders and Hunter, Grimes threw out another name for consideration—Ray Ray McCloud, the Atlanta Falcons’ wide receiver who, according to Grimes, is a loyal fan of the show. Imagine that star power on one set!
With a show like All American, which is known for blending sports and drama, adding a few real-life NFL stars could give fans an extra layer of excitement. And with these rookies’ growing popularity, it’s safe to say that any appearance by Sanders or Hunter would likely bring a wave of fresh energy to the show.
