It looks like we’re still in the dark about whether Jalen Hurts will be at the White House with the Philadelphia Eagles to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX victory.

The Super Bowl MVP was at a Time Magazine event on Thursday night, celebrating his inclusion in the 2025 TIME100 list, when a reporter asked him a simple but loaded question: “Will you be attending the Eagles’ White House visit on Monday?”

Hurts’ response? A long pause followed by an uncertain “Umm.” After several awkward seconds of silence, the reporter finally said, “Got it, thank you,” and Hurts walked away.

While Hurts may have dodged the question, there has been some clarity around the Eagles’ White House visit. Last month, the team “enthusiastically accepted” an invitation to meet President Donald Trump at the White House, according to an official statement.

This came amid some early rumors that the Eagles were considering turning down the invite. However, sources close to the team have denied those rumors, stating that the Eagles had every intention of attending if invited by the president.

The Eagles did not make the trip to the White House after their first Super Bowl win in 2018. The team had been scheduled to visit, but the invitation was rescinded the night before the trip by the Trump administration, with Sarah Huckabee Sanders calling the Eagles’ stance a “political stunt.”

Instead of heading to Washington, D.C., the Eagles spent that day in South Philadelphia, adding an OTA practice to their schedule instead.

Now, with the Super Bowl LIX victory in the books and a potential White House visit on the horizon, it remains to be seen if Hurts will be part of the delegation this time around.

But for now, it seems like the answer is still up in the air, just as unsure as his response at the TIME100 event.
