Sterling K. Brown, Aldis Hodge & Aaron Pierre Nominated for 2025 Gotham Awards

The 2025 Gotham Television Awards are almost here, and the nominees have officially been announced.

Sterling K. Brown and Aldis Hodge are both up for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Drama Series, for their performances in Hulu’s Paradise and Prime Video’s Cross, respectively.

Even though Paradise and Cross didn’t land spots in the Breakthrough Drama Series category (no comment), Brown and Hodge still came out on top individually.

Meanwhile, Aaron Pierre is making major waves too, snagging a nomination for Outstanding Performance in an Original Film for his role in Netflix’s Rebel Ridge.

Pierre’s been that guy for a while now, but this nod feels like another step toward him becoming one of Hollywood’s next big heavyweights.

Rebel Ridge is also nominated for Outstanding Original Film, Broadcast, or Streaming alongside Sly Lives!, the new doc documentary from Questlove about music legend Sly Stone.

Questlove stays showing love to our icons, and we’re here for it.

The Gotham Awards are all about celebrating the new season of TV, and summed it up perfectly: “We’re proud to bring together the industry’s most exciting new voices, celebrate breakthrough achievements, and deepen our commitment to supporting the creative community,’ Jeffrey Sharp, executive director of The Gotham Awards, shared.

The ceremony is set for June 2 at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC.
