The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, and fans were treated to a spectacle during a nearly five-and-a-half-hour livestream where Marvel Studios officially unveiled the cast for Avengers: Doomsday.
The announcement featured a blend of familiar MCU faces, beloved characters from 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise, and new stars joining the universe through the highly anticipated Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The event shows one of Marvel’s most ambitious crossovers yet, hinting at a climactic showdown with one of the greatest villains in Marvel history. An epic, foreboding musical piece played during the event, which many are speculating to be Doctor Doom’s theme. With Marvel Studios teasing that “It all leads to Doom,” the excitement surrounding the franchise’s future has never been higher.
