Nwajagu Samuel, a 23-year-old software engineer from Nigeria, has made history as the first African to win the Mister International pageant.
The global competition, held on December 14, 2024, at Island Hall, Fashion Island in Bangkok, Thailand, saw Samuel outshine over 40 contestants from around the world. The Mister International pageant, established in 2006, is one of the leading male beauty and personality contests, designed to highlight talent, advocacy, and charisma in men from diverse cultures.
Samuel entered the international competition following his triumph in the Mister International Nigeria contest earlier this year, where he impressed judges with his charisma, dedication, and advocacy. His modeling career includes partnerships with top African fashion brands such as Tice Grandiose, Veejayrex Fashion, and Zhalima Grazioni.
In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Samuel delivered a message of inspiration, saying:
I feel very great and I am very happy for the support each and every one of you gave me throughout this journey. My message is a message of hope and resilience. I want to encourage everyone that you are capable of making a difference regardless of where you come from no matter where you are. All great things start from small beginnings. Don’t be afraid to take that bold step because where dreams meet determination is where greatness follows.
Congratulations, Nwajagu!
