Magazine Dreams starring Jonathan Majors has finally gotten a theatrical release date.

Nearly two years after its Sundance Film Festival debut, the drama is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025.

The film tells the story of Killian Maddox (Majors), an amateur bodybuilder obsessed with gracing the cover of a prestigious magazine. His relentless pursuit of this dream consumes Killian’s life—caring for his aging grandfather while dedicating every waking moment to workouts, consuming extraordinary calories, and injecting steroids to enhance his physique.

When Magazine Dreams, written and directed by Elijah Bynum, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, Majors’ transformative performance as Killian Maddox stunned audiences and critics, which set the stage for a great awards-season run.

Searchlight Pictures initially acquired the film in a bidding war. However, after Majors faced legal issues, including a conviction for assault and harassment involving an incident with ex-partner Grace Jabbari, the studio dropped the project earlier this year.

In October 2024, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Briarcliff Entertainment rescued the film, securing its release.

Now, the film will be in theaters in the first quarter of next year, and reports state that Zeus Network will spearhead marketing efforts.
