5 Essential Tips to Keep Men Looking Young

We all want to age gracefully, and if not look younger than we are, at least look our age. Time waits for nobody, though, and you’ve got to take an active approach to maintain your youthful looks. Otherwise, they can quickly disappear.

Much of looking young is about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. If you’re healthy on the inside, then it’s much more likely you’re going to look young and healthy on the outside.

Not only can these tips help keep you looking young on the outside, but they’re also great ways to make sure you’re staying healthy on the inside as well.

Exercise

The classic “dad bod” and “beer belly” are well known in society. While keeping trim in your younger years is a bit easier, male metabolisms slow down as you get older, making it much easier to put on weight.

The beer gut is a tell-tell sign that you’re getting a bit older, but there is a good way to boost your metabolism and make it easier to keep off the weight. Exercise has a significant impact on your metabolism and can really help in the battle to keep your youthful looks.

Diet

Exercise and diet generally go hand in hand. You simply won’t see the results you want from exercise if you’re not following it up with the right diet.

The body needs a balance of the right nutrients in order to thrive, and often, modern diets are short in important nutrients, such as Calcium, Potassium, Fibre, Magnesium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. Therefore, make sure that you are following the right one for you!

Sunscreen

Your skin is your largest organ, and as the outer layer of your body, it’s exposed to lots of potentially damaging substances. One of the most damaging is UV rays from the sun, which can not only cause skin cancer but also contribute towards wrinkling.

Protecting your skin with sunscreen is particularly important for maintaining healthy-looking skin, and high-quality UV protection can go a long way to keeping you looking young. By using UV protection on your face every day, you can help protect your skin from a lot of wear and tear.

Hair

As you age, it seems that you find more and more hair where you don’t want it and less and less hair where you do want it. Indeed, premature balding is one of the biggest giveaways that a guy is starting to get a bit old.

However, balding isn’t an irreversible process. With a hair transplant, you can turn your receding hairline around and really go a long way to looking a lot younger.

Sleep

We’re always hearing about the importance of getting 8 hours of sleep every night and for good reason. Our bodies need time to recuperate, and they do this through sleep.

If you’re not getting enough sleep, then eventually it’s going to show. Even if you’re not an eight hours a night kind of guy, it’s beneficial to have a good sleep schedule where you go to bed and wake up at the same time each day.
