TV One recently hosted an exclusive screening of the biopic The Bobby DeBarge Story in Atlanta. The Bobby Debarge Story digs into the burdensome life of the eldest sibling of the world-famous pop group DeBarge and the former lead singer of the 70’s R&B/Funk Band Switch. Despite his success in music, the iconic voice found his life spiraling out of control as he struggled with fame and fortune while coping with the memories of his dysfunctional childhood.

Cast members in attendance included the film's lead star Roshon Fegan (Bobby DeBarge), Tyra Ferrell (Etterlene DeBarge), Adrian Marcel (James DeBarge), Big Boi (Berry Gordy) and Lloyd (Gregory Williams of Switch). The film's director Russ Parr, Executive Producer Eric Tomosunas and Keith Neal of Swirl Films also participated in the film screening. VIP's in attendance included Pat 'Sleepy' Brown, Lisa Wu, Terri J. Vaughn, Clifton Powell, Vina Mills, B5, Juicy, Tray Chaney, Final Draft, Brely Evans and more. Following the screening, nationally syndicated radio host Willie Moore, Jr. conducted a Q&A with the cast and creative team.

The Bobby DeBarge Story is produced for TV One by Swirl Films and premieres Saturday, June 29 at 8 pm EST/7C on TV One.
