The 2026 Creative Emmy Awards took place this weekend, with Veteran actor Ernest Harden Jr. and rapper-turned-Hollywood-Mogul, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson bringing home the coveted Emmy statue. 

It was a night that continued 50 Cent’s crusade of exposing the disgraced Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, after the music mogul’s downfall since being convicted In July 2025 on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits moving individuals across state lines for illegal sexual activity.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning debuted on Netflix in December 2025. The four-part Netflix series examines Diddy’s rise through Bad Boy Entertainment, his relationships with artists and employees, and the sexual misconduct allegations that later surrounded his empire. 

Diddy’s representatives rejected the project, calling it one-sided and accusing Netflix of using footage without authorization. “The project was built around a one-sided narrative led by a publicly admitted adversary, and it repeats allegations without context, evidence, or verification,” spokesperson Juda Engelmayer said.

During that time of its premiere, some accused the In Da Club rapper of having a personal vendetta against Combs. A claim 50 Cent has denied. Although the Emmy was for “Outstanding Picture Editing For A Nonfiction Program,” Jackson served as a producer and celebrated his win on Instagram. 

“I won an Emmy… still think I’m taking a L or you changed your mind,” he wrote. “GLG GreenLightGang we don’t miss.”

In another memorable win of the night, 73-year-old actor Ernest Harden Jr. won his first Emmy for “Guest Actor In a Drama Series.” Harden received his first Emmy nomination, which turned into a win Sunday (Sept 6th) for his role as alcoholic patient Louie Cloverfield on HBO Max‘s medical drama The Pitt.

For over four decades, Harden built a career as a character actor doing largely supporting roles in movies and guest starring on multiple series, often for 1-2 episodes. 

“I’ve been in the business since 1974, that’s the first time I ever spoke in a film; it was a movie called Three Days of the Condor with Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway,” Harden said backstage during the awards ceremony. “From then I’ve just been doing my thing, trying to work where I could. I got some beautiful breaks.” 

It was a poignant moment for The Jeffersons actor. “I wish my parents were here to see this, they would have been so proud,” he said.

Harden went on to thank The Pitt‘s executive producers, including John Wells and star Noah Wyle. “They hired me and believed in my talent … and the reason I stayed around was because I was good,” he said.

The 2026 primetime Emmy Awards take place Sept 14th and will be on Peacock. Other nominees this year are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, for “Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series” for his work in Disney+ Wonder Man, and Sterling K. Brown for his lead role in Hulu’s Paradise. Tyler James Williams also earned a nomination for the hit comedy, Abbott Elementary. And Colman Domingo is a double nominee for his work in Netflix’s The Four Seasons, as well as his guest-starring role in the final season of HBO’s Euphoria.
