After years of quiet negotiations, hushed rumors, and persistent Reddit speculation, Equinox has finally drawn its blueprint for the Peach State. The New York-based fitness and high-performance lifestyle pioneer has officially chosen Buckhead Village as the home for its first-ever Georgia location.

Scheduled to open its doors in 2027, the flagship location is set to redefine the premium fitness landscape in Atlanta.

For local fitness enthusiasts accustomed to the city’s high-end “athletic country clubs”, the arrival of Equinox brings a globally recognized brand synonymous with celebrity clients, bespoke aesthetics, and holistic wellness right to Atlanta’s doorstep.

Equinox isn’t just opening a standard gym storefront; it’s building a massive, 44,000-square-foot wellness ecosystem. It will have a ground-level entrance right next door to fashion favorite COS on the south side of the district near Pharr Road.

Equinox has teamed up with the award-winning, New York-based design firm Goodrich to bring the building to life. Rather than replicating a generic industrial gym look, the facility’s architecture will be heavily inspired by its Southern surroundings. According to the brand, the design will strike a fine balance between minimal luxury and modern heritage, utilizing clean forms, natural materials, and rich textures to offer a level of “residential comfort” matched with refined, understated elegance.

“Atlanta has long been one of the most important markets on our growth roadmap,” Andy Subervi, Equinox’s head of development, shared in an announcement. “Buckhead Village presented a unique opportunity to introduce the Equinox experience in a location that reflects the energy, sophistication, and lifestyle of the city.”

The Buckhead flagship will act as a one-stop-shop for performance and regeneration, mixing intense conditioning with luxury hospitality. At the core of this experience is a massive commitment to state-of-the-art training and classes. Beyond pristine weight floors and tier-one personal coaching, the facility will boast dedicated, cutting-edge studios designed for unlimited group fitness, cycling, boxing, yoga, and authentic 1:1 Pilates instruction.

Recognizing that wellness at this scale requires serious recovery, the location will also feature a full-service Spa at Equinox. This specialized rejuvenation space will offer custom sports massages, high-end skincare treatments, and advanced red-light therapy designed to optimize post-workout healing.

The club will also feature immaculate locker rooms fully stocked with their signature eucalyptus towels and Le Labo products, alongside integrated Equinox food and beverage concepts to keep members fueled from the inside out.

While exact membership rates for the Buckhead location haven’t been locked in, standard Equinox tiers typically run between $222 and $410 per month, depending on the level of regional or global club access selected.
