Druski is set to host the 2026 BET Awards, and if his announcement video is any indication, the show is going to be something special. BET announced that the 31-year-old comedian and digital creator will lead the ceremony, which airs live June 28 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
And in true Druski fashion, he didn’t just accept the gig quietly; he came with conditions.
“I told BET if I’m hosting, we gon’ do this my way,” he said in his announcement video, before running through a list of ground rules for the night, calling out Jamie Foxx, Sexyy Red, and others in the process. Equal opportunity roasting.
This isn’t just a big moment for Druski personally; it’s a historic one. At 31, Druski will become the youngest ever host of the BET Awards, narrowly eclipsing Kevin Hart, who was also 31 when he first hosted in 2011. That’s a record that’s stood for over a decade, and the fact that it’s falling to someone who built his entire career on the internet says everything about how the culture has shifted.
The BET Awards isn’t just an awards show; now in its 25th year, it has long served as a major stage celebrating Black achievement across music, film, television, and sports.
Best known for his viral sketches and improvisational style, Druski has built a massive following across social media, translating that momentum into sold-out tours and high-profile collaborations with artists including Drake and Snoop Dogg, as well as appearances alongside figures like Tom Brady and Timothée Chalamet.
BET’s EVP of Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy Connie Orlando put it plainly: Druski brings “a unique ability to connect with audiences through humor that feels both fresh and deeply rooted in culture.”
The 2026 BET Awards will air live on BET on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
