Prime Video is officially turning up the heat. Today, the streamer unveiled the first trailer and key art for Season 2 of Cross, the high-stakes crime thriller inspired by characters created by James Patterson. The breakout series, starring and executive produced by Aldis Hodge, returns February 11, with a three-episode premiere followed by weekly releases leading up to the finale on March 18.

Set in Washington, D.C., Cross follows Alex Cross, a brilliant homicide detective and forensic psychologist whose greatest weapon is his ability to get inside the minds of killers.

Created by showrunner Ben Watkins, the series quickly proved itself as a global hit, pulling in more than 40 million viewers worldwide within its first 20 days and cementing its place as one of Prime Video’s standout crime dramas.

Season 2 pushes Cross into darker, more dangerous territory. The new chapter kicks off when billionaire business titan Lance Durand, played by Matthew Lillard, contacts the FBI after receiving a chilling death threat, one that links him to the murder of a fellow billionaire playboy.

What begins as a protection detail spirals into a twisted investigation marked by gruesome clues, buried secrets, and a killer with a very specific plan.

Alex Cross teams up once again with FBI Agent Kayla Craig (Alona Tal) as the two lead a joint task force to uncover the truth behind the threat. Meanwhile, Cross’ longtime partner and closest friend, John Sampson (Isaiah Mustafa), finds himself making an unexpected and potentially dangerous connection of his own.

The trailer teases a season fueled by psychological warfare and moral tension. Bodies pile up. Patterns emerge. A serial killer appears to be checking names off a list with surgical precision, leaving Cross racing against time while questioning the system he’s sworn to protect.

Season 2 also expands the Cross universe with new faces, including Jeanine Mason and Wes Chatham, joining a strong returning ensemble that includes Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill.

Season 2 of Cross premieres February 11, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video. Check out the trailer below.
