If you’ve been craving a romantic comedy led by Black stars, and let’s be honest, it’s been far too long, Hollywood finally heard the call.

Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for You, Me & Tuscany, a sun-soaked, heart-tugging RomCon (romantic comedy + con) starring Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page, arriving in theaters April 10, 2026.

Blockbuster hitmaker Will Packer produces the upcoming film, the mind behind Girls Trip, Think Like a Man, Ride Along, and an entire run of No. 1 box-office debuts.

With direction from Kat Coiro (Marry Me, Matlock) and a screenplay by Ryan Engle (Beast, Rampage), the film leans into classic romcom energy while giving it a fresh, modern twist…and a whole lot of Black joy.

Bailey plays Anna, a young woman who once dreamed of becoming a chef before life’s disappointments nudged her off track. When she loses her house-sitting job and her housing on the same day, a chance meeting with Matteo, a charming Italian local, presents an escape hatch she can’t ignore.

Anna jets off to Tuscany, despite the warnings of her blunt, loyal best friend Claire (played by Home Before Dark star Aziza Scott), planning to crash at Matteo’s empty villa “just for the night.”

But in true romcom fashion, chaos has other plans.

When Matteo’s mother, played by Isabella Ferrari, unexpectedly arrives at the villa, Anna panics and lets her believe she is Matteo’s fiancée.

That one “little lie” becomes a full-blown operation when Matteo’s cousin, Michael, played by Page, shows up. And suddenly, Anna’s fake engagement becomes the backdrop for very real sparks.

Page, returning to romantic form after Bridgerton launched him into global heartthrob status, brings quiet charisma and smoldering tension to the role. Together, he and Bailey create a chemistry that feels lush, sweet, and irresistible, like a love letter written in the Tuscan sun.

You, Me & Tuscany hits theaters April 10, 2026.
