Abbott Elementary and The Bear might just be two of the most chaotic, hilarious, and heartfelt shows on TV—and if Tyler James Williams has his way, they might soon be sharing the same screen.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter at the Disney Upfronts, Williams lit up when the idea of a crossover was mentioned, confirming that the thought has been on the table, and he’s totally here for it.
“Oh, geez. What’s interesting is that, like, we kind of have talked about The Bear being in our universe,” Williams said. “But also, Ayo is also a character in our show. I would like to somehow tie that up.”
He’s referring, of course, to the incredible Ayo Edebiri, who plays Sydney in The Bear and recently guest-starred as a substitute teacher on Abbott Elementary.
Honestly? We love it. Imagine Janine stopping by a chaotic Chicago kitchen for a field trip lunch. Or Principal Ava trying to manage a PTA meeting catered by Carmy and Sydney. The possibilities are endless—and hilarious.

While there’s nothing official (yet), the Abbott Elementary cast is fun, and why shouldn’t they have their own multiverse?
Let’s hope Disney is listening. Because if the Abbott crew ever collides with the Bear kitchen, one thing’s for sure, we’ll be front row, watching the sparks (and the hot sauce) fly.
