After eight months of retirement, Jeff Gordon will push the petal to the medal once more and race for coveted NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt Jr. according to ESPN’s Bob Pockrass.

Gordon, whose last race was Nov. 22 at the 2015 Ford EcoBoost 400, will race for a concussed Earnhardt in this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
