Paramount+ has released the first official teaser trailer for Frisco King, an original crime drama starring Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson. The eight-episode series premieres Friday, December 18, with a two-episode debut, followed by weekly episodes every Friday exclusively on Paramount+.

Written entirely by Taylor Sheridan, Frisco King expands on the world built in Tulsa King and marks another entry in Sheridan’s growing television universe.

Jackson reprises his role as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a seasoned New Orleans gangster who relocates to Frisco, Texas, an affluent suburb in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Far from slowing down, Lee moves quickly to establish himself, recruiting a protégé, a loyal driver, and a network of eccentric partners to build what he envisions as a full-scale criminal enterprise beneath the polished surface of suburban life.

The series is the latest expansion of Sheridan’s Paramount+ footprint, which already includes Tulsa King, Yellowstone, and 1923, among others. Frisco King follows the template Sheridan established with Tulsa King, transplanting a career criminal into an unfamiliar environment and watching the tension between his world and his surroundings play out, but puts Jackson at the center this time, giving the spinoff its own distinct identity.

The main cast includes Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate, and Savanna Gann. Sylvester Stallone will appear as a special guest, reprising his role as Dwight “The General” Manfredi from Tulsa King to connect the two storylines. The project is executive produced by Sheridan, Stallone, and Jackson.
