Four of the most popular series in the BET Studios universe are officially returning. Paramount+, in partnership with BET Studios, has renewed Carl Weber’s The Black Hamptons for Season 3 and The Family Business for Season 7, Tyler Perry‘s Divorced Sistas for Season 3, and Zatima for Season 6, all with 10-episode orders confirmed.
The multi-series renewal comes as part of a broader programming greenlight following Paramount+’s integration of BET+ content.
For fans of The Black Hamptons, the news ends a wait that has stretched more than two and a half years. Season 2 finished its run on BET+ in early 2024, leaving viewers in the dark on the series’ future for longer than anyone anticipated. Based on Weber’s best-selling novel, the series follows the rivalry between two affluent Black families in the exclusive enclave of Sag Harbor, Long Island, the old-money Brittons and the new-money Johnsons locked in a battle for prestige, land, and dominance.
The cast includes Lamman Rucker as Anthony Johnson, Vanessa Bell Calloway as Carolyn Britton, Elise Neal as Michelle Johnson, and Brian White as Marcus Britton, alongside Richard Lawson, Karon Riley, Mike Merrill, Blac Chyna, Aaron Spears, and Daya Vaidya.
The Family Business continues its run as one of the longest-operating flagship dramas in the franchise. Now heading into its seventh season, the series follows the Duncans, a New York family who run a luxury exotic car dealership by day and a complex criminal empire behind closed doors.
Ernie Hudson leads the ensemble as family patriarch L.C. Duncan, with Valarie Pettiford as Charlotte Duncan, Darrin Dewitt Henson as Orlando Duncan, Javon Johnson as Richard Duncan, Sean Ringgold as Junior Duncan, Tami Roman as London Duncan, and Arrington Foster as Rio Duncan.
Perry’s Divorced Sistas, which follows a group of women navigating life, love, and reinvention after divorce, returns for its third season. Zatima, the fan-favorite spinoff of Perry’s Sistas centered on Zac and Fatima, continues its run with a sixth season, further cementing its place as one of the most beloved relationship dramas in the franchise.
All four series are heading into production. Premiere dates will be announced in the coming months.
