Three years after putting their love to the test on Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Randall Griffin and Shanique Imari have made it official, for real this time.

The couple, who rose to fame on the first season of the reality dating series, announced their marriage on Instagram with a simple caption: “Introducing… The Griffins,” alongside a video of the pair on their wedding day.

If you’ve been following their love story since 2022, you know it’s been anything but conventional. On The Ultimatum, Shanique and Randall joined the show at a make-or-break point in their relationship.

Shanique, then 24 and ready for marriage, issued Randall an ultimatum — either get engaged or move on. Randall, hesitant and focused on financial stability and future planning, wasn’t quite ready for that next step.

What followed was a rollercoaster of emotions, a three-week trial marriage with new partners (drama), and an intense reconnection period that pushed their relationship to the brink.

Randall’s connection with a fellow castmate stirred insecurities, while Shanique and Randall’s communication issues — like his emotional unavailability and her tendency to get “petty” (his words, not ours) — were put under the microscope.

By the reunion special, the two revealed they had split, putting their engagement on pause and taking time to grow individually. At the time, it seemed like the story might end there.

Now, in 2025, the couple has written a new chapter.

Their wedding announcement was met with love from Ultimatum fans who followed every twist and turn of their journey. The clip shared online captured elegant, joy-filled moments — including Randall looking dapper and emotional, and Shanique glowing in her gown.

It was a full-circle moment that proved love, when nurtured and given space to evolve, can come back even stronger.

The couple hasn’t released full details about the ceremony just yet, but if social media is any indication, it was an event filled with love and a real party.

Congratulations to The Griffins!
