In his latest book, The Savage Matrix, Marcellus Womack introduces a new framework for personal transformation. This blueprint isnât just about successâitâs about tapping into your most dominant self.
Womackâs philosophy centers around the idea that every individual has an inner savage waiting to be unleashed. But which savage are you? The answer lies in understanding the four archetypes of The Savage Matrix: The Hustler, The Pimp, The Stripper, and The Pitbull.
Yes, being called a pimp or a stripper might not sound flattering at first â but you have to look deeper into what actually shapes and defines these archetypes.
During a recent interview with The Quintessential Gentleman, Womack discussed his bookâs principles, providing a new perspective on achieving greatness. âYou must walk through darkness to see the light you are destined to become,â Womack says.
The Hustler: The Enterprising Force
The first archetype, the Hustler, is driven by one goal: money. âA hustler is the enterprising savage whose primary goal is money and who dominates by conducting business,â Womack explains. The Hustler is characterized by their relentless pursuit of wealth, building multiple streams of income, and dealing in high-level negotiations. Their superpower is deal-making, always seeking the best ways to maximize cash flow.
âWhen youâre a hustler, the question is simple: How many ways can I make as much money as possible?â Womack adds. For this archetype, the world is financial, and their golden rule is clear: He who owns all the gold makes the rules.
The Pimp: The Power Broker
Next up is the Pimp, an archetype that thrives on power. âThe Pimp is a masterminding savage whose goal is control. They dominate by selling fantasies to leverage other peopleâs talent,â says Womack. The Pimp operates within the emotional realm, using charisma and influence to get people to do the work that supports their vision. Their superpower? Selling fantasies, knowing how to inspire and manage others toward fulfilling their dreams.
Womack elaborates, âHe who makes the rules owns all the gold.â For the Pimp, this is a powerful dynamic of creating a vision and getting others to join in, regardless of the cost.
The Stripper: The Superstar
The Stripper archetype is about status and the desire to be seen. Womack explains that Strippers are the rockstars of the Savage Matrixâindividuals who dominate by performing and captivating audiences. Their main resource is a big stage or platform, and their superpower lies in captivating audiences.
The Stripperâs worldview is physical, always asking, âHow big is the stage, and whatâs the best performance I can do to be #1?â As Womack notes, âStrippers are obsessed with turning up and showing out for attention and recognition.â Their golden rule is simple: He who wins the gold is celebrated on the highest level.
The Pitbull: The Executioner
Finally, we have the Pitbullârelentless, focused, and always pursuing results. According to Womack, the Pitbull dominates through execution, locking in on a bullseye target with supreme focus. âA Pitbull doesnât care about power or money; they just want results. Give them a mission, and they will execute it,â he explains.
With a resource like a bullseye target, the Pitbullâs world is mental. Their superpower is supreme focus, which allows them to achieve goals with laser precision. Womack describes the Pitbullâs golden rule as: There is no gold until someone digs deep for it. This mentality embodies the ânever let upâ attitude that ensures no obstacle is too great to overcome.
The Kingpin: Mastering the Matrix
Upon mastering these archetypes, one reaches the ultimate stage: the Kingpin. âA Kingpin is someone who has mastered all four archetypes and uses that mastery to ascend to greatness,â Womack says. At this stage, individuals leverage their understanding of money, power, status, and results to build and scale empires.
Womack acknowledges that success isnât linear, and individuals often oscillate between archetypes as they evolve. âItâs all about tapping into the right energy at the right time,â he states. Whether youâre in the hustle for money, seeking power through influence, striving for status, or relentlessly pursuing results, understanding your core archetypeâand learning to tap into others when neededâcan help you unlock your true potential.
In Womackâs words, âWhatever your moonshot is, the grandest version of your greatest vision with no limits, itâs already done.â
The Savage Matrix framework offers more than just an entrepreneurial guideâitâs a philosophy for realizing your full potential, no matter where you are in life.
