Michael Jordan continues to score big in healthcare. Last month, Jordan officially opened his fourth free health clinic, the Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic, located at 416 N. 30th St. in Wilmington, North Carolina.

This new facility adds to his ongoing mission to provide critical healthcare services to underserved communities.

The 7,300-square-foot clinic is designed to offer comprehensive healthcare services to those who need it most. With 12 patient rooms and weekday primary care services, the facility also employs community health workers who help patients access essential local resources, making navigating healthcare and other social services easier.

This latest clinic is the result of a continued partnership between Jordan and Novant Health, with both parties committed to reducing financial and logistical barriers to medical care. The collaboration is part of a broader initiative that began in 2019 with the launch of two clinics in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The success of these facilities led Jordan to donate $10 million in 2024 to expand the initiative and open additional clinics in his home state.

The new Wilmington clinic follows the success of the city’s first Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic, which opened last year. In less than a year, that facility served nearly 1,800 patients, many of whom had never received primary care before.

The impressive turnout underscored the dire need for accessible healthcare in the area and inspired Jordan to continue expanding his network of free clinics.
