A devastating car crash in Dallas on Monday resulted in two fatalities, one person hospitalized, and a McLaren supercar destroyed after being split in half.
The collision occurred around 3 p.m. in the 8500 block of Abrams Road, involving two vehicles, according to reports from local authorities.
First responders confirmed that one of the vehicles struck a tree with such force that it killed the two occupants inside. The victims were identified as 31-year-old Robert Rocha and 29-year-old Cristobal Flores. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The luxury McLaren’s design and lightweight materials, which enhance speed and performance, were not enough to withstand the impact of the collision.
A third individual, reportedly from the second vehicle, was rushed to the hospital with injuries that have not been disclosed. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the crash and determining which vehicle the victims were in during the impact.
