Philadelphia’s finest, Kevin Hart and Friday’s Mike Epps have revived ComicView according to Yahoo. Live episodes were already filmed over the weekend at Hart’s 44th birthday bash, which was July 6.

According to Hart’s Instagram Story, his family, friends and the likes of celebrities such as Ludacris were all by his side during the filming.

Variety announced the Jumanji star’s latest venture with BET — a partnership that would air his ensemble show, The Real Husbands of Hollywood.

“I’m thrilled to partner with BET for the return of ‘Comicview’ as part of Hartbeat Weekend, making this can’t-miss celebration of comedy, music, and culture,” Hart said in a statement released on July 7. “Having hosted ‘ComicView’ in the past, I understand firsthand the incredible platform this franchise offers for comedians to showcase their talents on a national stage, and I’m excited to continue that tradition in Las Vegas.”

According to BET, Epps will be hosting. He will also serve as an executive producer alongside Hart and BET executives Tiffany Williams and Angela Aguilera. The four-day lineup will include sets performed by DC Young Fly, T.I., Tommy Davidson, Tacarra Williams, Tony T. Roberts and Bresha Webb. This will mark T.I.’s first televised stand-up appearance since he embarked on his comedy career in 2022.

Air dates for the episodes haven't been released.

Hartbeat President & Chief Distribution Officer Jeff Clanagan said it’s all about bringing back this specific platform that highlights the next generation of comedians.

“Developing opportunities to spotlight emerging voices in comedy and connect audiences through laughter and joy has long been part of Hartbeat’s mission, making us uniquely positioned to curate and produce this series alongside BET and usher in an exciting new era for this beloved comedic institution,” Clanagan said in a statement. “We are also thrilled to have Kevin Hart and Mike Epps on board as executive producers to spearhead a new era for this iconic franchise.

ComicView first debuted in 1992, enjoying a successful run through 2008. It did come back for a short time in 2014, airing new episodes. Other hosts aside from Hart were D.L. Hughley, Cedric The Entertainer, Bruce Bruce, Rickey Smiley and Sommore among others.

“We’re excited to partner with Hartbeat to bring back our culturally iconic franchise ‘ComicView’ during Hartbeat Weekend,” BET CEO and President Scott Mills said.
