Atlanta Fashion Week Dominates With Exclusive Events Powered by Ragtrade Atlanta and Microsoft

Atlanta is slowly but surely making its mark on the fashion industry and has officially entered the conversation by hosting its annual Atlanta Fashion Week (ATLFW) in partnership with Microsoft. Presented By Ragtrade Atlanta, this Fashion experience would end up bringing out an even larger crowd than in previous years. Kicking off a three-day event, guests arrived at the historic Underground Atlanta for style presentations, panel discussions, cocktail experiences sponsored by Martell, socializing and more. Guests also received the official ATLFW 2022 tote sponsored by the Atlanta Hawks.

Over the course of the weekend, guests had the opportunity to enjoy panels ranging from, Power of Brand Partnerships' featuring Devon Carter of the Atlanta Hawks and Blair Caffey of Honor Roll Clothing to The Evolution of Retail - Creating the Ideal Consumer Connection and Experience with Kwassi Byll of MODA404 and JR of Threadz Atlanta. Other panels would include Future of Fashion with Darrell Booker of Microsoft and Tom Raab of Takedown who discussed how technology is reshaping the fashion space and how people can join the movement.

The weekend's fashionable highlights included Billy Jean with his Si Tu Veux F/W 2022 collection. Even goers were amazed at the craftsmanship in his custom leather pants, complex jackets, and more. Another designer included David Tlale, a South African native, who presented with a non-traditional fashion presentation where his models were arranged in a gallery-style presentation with the goal of challenging the clichés of the fashion industry. The lifestyle brand Honor Roll made it to the runway showcasing their unisex clothing with the goal of always challenging the perspective of Atlanta's fashion culture.

With many great designers hitting the runway over the course of the weekend and clothing brands always emerging in Atlanta, the conversation must continue on how they can navigate through the fashion industry in this ever-growing city but until then Atlanta Fashion Week has proven that it is here to stay.

This year we wanted to go bigger and better with Atlanta Fashion Week and our 2022 partnerships helped us achieve this goal,” said Angela Watts, founder and creative director of ATLFW.“Atlanta is ready to become a global player in the fashion industry and it is happening now.” For more information on Atlanta Fashion Week, visit their website.
