Prime Video is bringing Calvin’s back to life. The streamer revealed the premiere date and new first-look images from the upcoming comedy series Barbershop, inspired by the film franchise, confirming that all eight episodes will drop on February 10, 2027, exclusively on Prime Video.

The series follows Travis “Trav” Walker, played by Jermaine Fowler, as he returns to Chicago hoping to honor his grandfather’s legacy at Calvin’s, the iconic barbershop at the center of the original films. But Trav quickly learns that Calvin’s has changed just as much as the city around it, and finding his place among a new crew of barbers and loyal customers won’t come easy.

Through it all, the shop stays true to what it’s always been, a place for sharp fades, sharper opinions, and a community that always has something to say.

Marshall Todd, who co-wrote the original Barbershop film, returns to write and serve as co-showrunner, alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Max Searle. The show’s executive producer roster also includes Kevin Hart, Bryan Smiley, Mike Stein, and Tiffany Brown for Hartbeat; Bradley Gardner for Busy B Entertainment; Cameron Burnett and Autumn Bailey-Ford for Prominent Productions; George L. Tillman and Robert Teitel for State Street Pictures; Jermaine Fowler; and Oz Rodriguez, who also directs the series.

Fans will get their first real look at whether Trav can live up to his grandfather’s legacy when the series premieres February 10, 2027, on Prime Video.
