Chicago native Dyon “Mojo” Brooks, the multi-hyphenate actor, writer, and Emmy-winning creator known professionally as Mojo Brookzz, is officially making his global stand-up special debut on Netflix.

Titled I Know You Lying, the hour-long special arrives on the streamer October 6, cementing one of the most rapid and successful transitions from digital viral star to mainstream touring power in recent comedy history.

Recorded at Atlanta’s historic Center Stage Theatre, I Know You Lying draws its name directly from Brooks’s massive 2025 headlining tour, which sold over 100,000 tickets across 40 cities. Directed by Mike “Homeless Pimp” Lavin and produced by 3 Nuts Studios alongside Activist Artists Management, the project captures the high-energy, relatable observational humor that made Brooks a household name online before he ever stepped onto a major theater stage.

While specific set details remain under wraps, the title leans into the comic’s signature knack for calling out real-world exaggeration, relationship excuses, and everyday dishonesty.

While I Know You Lying marks a milestone for his stand-up career, Brooks has been steadily building an impressive resume across screen and stage. He currently stars as the male lead in Tyler Perry‘s Netflix comedy series Miss Governor, which held a top-ten spot on the platform for multiple weeks. His TV breakthrough followed a standout appearance on Season 21 of Nick Cannon‘s Wild ‘N Out, where he was handpicked after his online sketches went viral.

A versatile writer off-camera, Brooks also earned a regional Emmy Award for his writing contributions to a multi-year Chicago Bears advertising campaign, and he’s set to appear in the upcoming Hallmark, NFL, and Skydance Sports collaboration Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story.

On the road, Brooks has shared arena stages with heavyweights like Mike Epps on the “We Them Ones” tour, and he’s currently mid-run on his 42-date international “Outta Pocket” tour, which includes upcoming stops at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena and two sold-out nights at New York’s Beacon Theatre for the New York Comedy Festival.
