If there’s anyone who knows the brutal, beautiful grind of turning a mic and a dream into global superstardom, it’s Kevin Hart. Now, the comedy titan is paying it forward and searching for the next big name in stand-up with his new unfiltered Netflix competition series, Funny AF with Kevin Hart.
Funny AF strips away the typical talent show fluff and gives audiences a raw, behind-the-curtain look at the pressure-cooker environment that shapes a stand-up career.
Hart is looking for the comic with the guts, perspective, and punchlines to become a household name. The prize? The ultimate launching pad for any working comic: their very own Netflix stand-up special.
Hart won’t be evaluating these rising stars on his own. Throughout the series, he’ll be joined by a formidable, rotating panel of special guest judges. The lineup is packed with comedy heavyweights, including Keegan-Michael Key, Tom Segura, Kumail Nanjiani, Chelsea Handler and Nikki Glaser.
Together, they’ll decide who survives the brutal early rounds and who packs their bags.

The competition draws over 40 up-and-coming comics from major comedy hubs like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The eight-episode series will unfold over three weeks, combining pre-recorded episodes with high-stakes live broadcasts.
The coolest part? Viewers get to help crown the winner. During the live semi-final and finale, the power shifts from the judges to the viewers, allowing global Netflix subscribers to vote in real-time.
Funny AF kicks off its first week on April 20, dropping the first four episodes. Week two follows on April 27, with episodes five and six. The competition then culminates in an exciting third week featuring two live broadcasts: the semi-final (episode seven) airs live on May 4, followed by the grand finale (episode eight) on May 5, with both live events starting at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET.
