Preview of The 411 Brand Music Academy with Special Guest Nick Grant
The 411 Brand & the Mayors Office of Film & Entertainment hosted a “Halftime” preview of the summer session of The 411 Brand Music Academy at Patchwerk Studios. The 411 Brand Music Academy is a unique program that is taught by industry experts and entertainers in a structured environment designed to offer a unique unparalleled experience. Industry experts help teach the fundamentals of the music business as well as various opportunities to thrive outside of performing including skills/techniques to control their career in the industry.
During this special “Halftime” preview we had the opportunity to hear from the students about what they are learning and listen to some of the rough drafts of songs they are working on. The special guest mentor for the Summer 2017 session is hip-hop’s rising star Nick Grant (Culture Republic/Epic Records), whose label debut hit No.2 on the Billboard Rap Albums Chart. He was an inspirational individual. He shared with the kids his keys to success and the sacrifices made in order to get where he is today.
It was such a fulfilling sensation to witness first hand, the platform given to these children to pursue their talents. While in the studio, they were given the opportunity to record live and have a visual created to their song.
