Men’s Fashion Week Nigeria

As many of us fashion lovers know, fashion week is not exclusive to the United States. Opportunities to design and exhibit exist on the international front. Men’s fashion is equally as important as women’s wear all over the world. From bespoke suits to luxury mens ties, men’s fashion has a lot to bring to the run way.

Men’s Fashion Week Nigeria has announced a final open call for designers, exhibitors, and sponsors. MFWN is one of the only men’s fashion showcases in Nigeria. MFWN is a project of Qhue Concepts in partnership with XA! International. Qhue concepts is the national leader in pageants, entertainment event marketing and management. The aim of the fashion showcase is is to discover new and emerging designers from across Nigeria to reach the international fashion industry.

Modern men’s wear has become very popular in Nigeria over the past couple of years. Designers like Adebayo Oke-Lawal are bringing some of the most inventive designs Nigeria has to offer. Oke-Lawal is the creator of the inventive Orange Culture clothing line. His designs have been featured in Vogue and Lagos Fashion and Design Week. His clothing is on pulse with the gender non-conforming designs of today. Speaking of pulse there are some top menswear designers who made the Pulse List top four. The list included Okunoren Twins, Kola Kuddus, Yomi Casual, and Deco.

MFWN is expected to have over 1,000 attendees including fashion buyers, retailers, celebrities, and models. Local and international press will be in attendance as well. The three day event will have fashion seminars, talks and sponsored after parties.

MFWN wants to provide a means for designers and manufacturers to gain exposure across the continent of Africa. Ultimately they want the culture of Nigerian fashion to spread globally. To check out more of MFWN check out there Facebook and Instagram pages at Mens Fashion Week Nigeria.
