Getting dressed for the holiday is important to many men. They want to be dressed appropriately for the yacht party to the backyard BBQ. In honor of the 4th of July, we have put together a few looks that are just right for one of the summer’s biggest holidays. We approached it in three ways including traditional, dressy casual, and non-traditional. The great things about these looks are that you can wear them anytime this summer.
With this first look, we kept it traditional with the obvious red, white and blue colors that represent July 4th. The blue to red ombre polo shirt is casual and cool. The jeans are stonewashed from newchic.com. There are small white stars on the front of the jeans that add detail to the look all while staying in theme. The “Vineyard Vines Rope Stripe Bungee Belt” is white with splashes of red and blue from Zappos. The classic slip on white Vans and the light blue shades from Topman complete this relaxed holiday look.
We’re calling this next look the 4th of July Blues because we played up blue to contrast the all white look. With this dressy casual look, you are ready for a day party or a late night yacht party. The white v-neck shirt from Newchic.com and the Flatseven white slim fit chino pants keep this look simple yet sophisticated. The blue Toms with white stripes add to the theme but in a subtle way. The finishing touches are the white straw hat with blue band from Italist, navy blue Donald J Pliner belt, and the Daniel Wellington watch with the red, white, and blue striped watchband. If you’re feeling really festive we added in a Ted Baker “Stars and Stripes” silk pocket square.
For the final look, we wanted to look out for all the non-traditional men out there. The white Paul Smith “Underwater Floral” shirt has a variety of colors including traditional holiday colors but with pops of pink, green, purple, orange and yellow. We paired the shirt with “Topman Ultra Skinny Fit Trousers” from Nordstrom. For the kicks, we added red and white canvas boat shoes from Lacoste. We kept the accessories simple with this final look by adding a navy blue card case. The final accessory was Gucci’s men’s black Iphone 7 case with a red, white, and gray snake motif.
