Fashion Friday Features “Twisted Metal” with Coco and Breezy
Since its first collection in 2009, Corianna and Brianna Dotson (aka Coco and Breezy) have completely disrupted the fashion industry, by way of their eccentric and heavily embellished custom eyewear designs. The craze for their sunglasses, by both men and women alike, have propelled them on an almost vertical ascent to stardom.
Their exclusive designs have been seen on A-list celebrities, such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and fellow Minnesotan and music icon Prince, for whom they designed a signature three-lensed pair of sunglasses (called the “TRES”), before his untimely passing. Their website, COCOandBREEZY.com, features a wide array of avant-grade style sunglasses.
During this year’s New York Men’s Fashion Week SS17, we had the pleasure of meeting Brianna “Breezy” Dodson, one half of cutting-edge Coco and Breezy eyewear and accessories. While showing their latest collection at Liberty Fairs, a men’s contemporary trade event held in New York City at Pier 94, Breezy stopped for a brief interview with Mickey Freeman to chat about their latest collection in collaboration with Twizzlers and Jolly Rancher, its inspiration, and some tidbits from their childhood days.
