Craig and Day-Day are back on the porch, just not the one you remember. Ice Cube and Mike Epps are teaming up for Listen & Laugh, a new podcast built on the chemistry fans first saw in the Friday franchise.

The longtime friends dropped the official trailer last Friday, offering a first look at a show that promises candid conversations with guests from music, movies, comedy, sports and culture.

The setup is a clear nod to the films that made them a duo. The trailer opens on a porch styled after the one from the original Friday, and it doesn’t take long for the banter to kick in. “We on the original porch of the Friday movie,” Epps declares, before Cube cuts him off. “We are not on the original porch for Friday.”

That back-and-forth sums up the show’s pitch: “Cube’s gonna make you listen and Epps is gonna make you laugh.”

The two have been friends since working together on 2000’s Next Friday, where Epps first stepped in as Day-Day, Craig’s cousin, and they reunited for Friday After Next two years later. Cube has said their real-life relationship mirrors the dynamic between Craig and Day-Day, and the trailer suggests that energy carries over naturally from the screen to the mic.

The trailer teases appearances from Dr. Dre, Regina King, Jack Harlow, Dana White, Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky, T.I., Cedric the Entertainer, Michael Blackson, The Game and Stephen A. Smith, among others.

The show’s description also name-drops Last Friday, the long-awaited fourth installment of the franchise, though there’s no new update on the film. Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., joked on X that his agent still hasn’t called him about it, so fans will have to keep waiting.

In the meantime, Listen & Laugh will release new episodes on Fridays at 6 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available on YouTube and major podcast platforms.
