On Monday, May 4, the biggest annual fashion event, The Met Gala, returned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s Met Gala theme is “Costume Art,” with a corresponding dress code: “Fashion is Art”.

The event features an exclusive guest list of celebrities, designers and influencers who attend the gala, which serves as a fundraiser for the museum’s Costume Institute. The 2026 Met Gala raised $42 million, breaking last year’s record of $31 million. The co-chairs included Beyonće, Venus Williams, Nicole Kidman and Anna Wintour– Vogue’s former editor-in-chief.

Once again, many guests amazed the audience with their bold and stylish ensembles, reflecting the theme and being the topic of the night. The male attendees brought attention to the Met Gala conversation. Audiences especially praised the men after the 2025 Met Gala, which featured the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
