This is a family affair, and we love to see it.

Sterling K. Brown is making sure the wins stay close to home. According to Variety, Brown’s real-life partner, actress Ryan Michelle Bathé, is officially joining the cast of his hit Hulu series Paradise for its highly anticipated second season.

While her exact role is still being kept under wraps (classic TV mystery move), sources confirm that Bathé will appear as a guest star during Season 2, which is currently in production. It’s a full-circle moment for the power couple, who’ve made magic together before on shows like This Is Us, where Bathé had a memorable recurring role.

And this isn’t their only recent collab. The duo co-hosts the award-winning podcast We Don’t Always Agree, which snagged an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Podcast in the lifestyle/self-help category earlier this year.

Their on- and off-screen chemistry? Unmatched.

Paradise, created by This Is Us mastermind Dan Fogelman, made waves with its first season, a gripping political thriller set in a post-apocalyptic underground city. Brown stars as Agent Xavier Collins, a man caught in the fallout after the President of Paradise is assassinated. With layers of suspense, conspiracy, and social commentary, the series quickly became a standout for Hulu and 20th Television, prompting a Season 2 renewal back in February.

Now, with Bathé stepping into the world of Paradise, we’re all wondering what her role will be: Will she play an ally? An adversary? A figure from Xavier’s past?

Brown and Bathé, who’ve been married since 2007 and share two children, have long been vocal about supporting each other’s artistic ventures.

Whether it’s television, film, podcasting, or public appearances, they continue to show what it looks like when Black love and Black excellence go hand in hand.

Catch Season 2 of Paradise when it returns to Hulu, and keep an eye out for Bathé’s big debut.
