It was a high-energy weekend in Nashville as The Quintessential Gentleman joined country music superstar Kane Brown for his hometown stop on his The High Road Tour, a celebration of new music, cultural style, and community.

Powered by Crown Royal, the three-day experience offered a nice mix of southern hospitality, fashion, and feel-good moments that echoed Brown’s ever-evolving presence in country music.

Brown’s latest album, The High Road, marks a creative milestone, both personally and professionally.

“This is a tour that we’ve added the most songs off of any album we’ve ever released,” he told The Quintessential Gentleman during our exclusive interview. “You can tell it shaped our show and is the main focus of the tour.”

The standout tracks? “Backseat Driver, When You Forget, and Miles on It,” Brown shares as his favorites from the album.

When asked about the ongoing conversations around race in country music, especially with the recent buzz around Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, Kane kept it real. “I just do me, man,” he said. “There’s nothing else you can do. You can’t change anybody’s opinion. You just gotta do you. That’s what I’ve always done.”

As one of the few high-profile Black artists in the genre, staying true to yourself is what makes Kane’s journey in this genre so impactful. He’s paving his own way without trying to fit into a box.

On Saturday, guests were treated to a VIP pre-show at Bridgestone Arena, complete with Crown Royal specialty cocktails, embroidered swag, and the chance to fill purple care packages for U.S. troops, a nod to Crown’s iconic Purple Bag Project.

Sunday, things got stylish with a shopping event at Daniel x Diamond, where guests got a behind-the-scenes look at iconic outfits worn by stars like Miranda Lambert, Diplo — and yes, they’re working on pieces for Beyoncé’s upcoming Cowboy Carter tour too.

But the weekend was about more than just the music — it was also about giving back. On Monday, CreatiVets, an organization dedicated to helping wounded veterans heal through art and music, hosted its annual golf tournament at Old Hickory Country Club, with Crown Royal as the official sponsor.

“They [Crown Royal] love veterans, and I love veterans,” Brown shared. “It’s something that I really always talk about during my show. I have a lot of veteran friends that I always show support to.”

Naturally, we couldn’t talk to Kane Brown without diving into fashion. His style has become just as signature as his sound, relaxed yet intentional.

“I would say, honestly, just depends on the music I’m playing when I’m getting ready,” he said. “I feel like just feeling cool makes you perform better, I don’t know, it makes me more comfortable.”

When asked what type of music he listens to while getting dressed, he said, “It depends,” adding, “Usually, I just put on random playlists. I’ll go with 2000s hip hop, 2000s rock, 2000s pop—whatever. So Ja Rule is in there heavy.”

Kane Brown’s High Road Tour is still rolling and coming to a city near you through mid-October, wrapping up with a final stop in London on October 10.
