Tyler Perry continues to expand his cinematic empire with Duplicity, his latest thriller set to debut on Prime Video. Starring Kat Graham, Meagan Tandy, RonReaco Lee, and Tyler Lepley, the film follows a high-powered attorney as she uncovers a dangerous web of deception surrounding the shooting of her best friend’s husband.
In Duplicity, Graham plays Marley, a skilled attorney thrust into her most personal case yet when her best friend Fela (Tandy) seeks justice for her husband’s (Joshua Adeyeye) shooting. With the help of her boyfriend (Lepley), a former cop turned private investigator, Marley delves into a world of lies, betrayal, and shocking revelations. As the investigation unfolds, nothing is as it seems, and Marley must navigate treacherous waters to uncover the truth.
The cast is stacked with talent, featuring Nick Barrotta, Jimi Stanton, and Shannon LaNier. Perry serves as writer, director, and producer alongside longtime collaborators Angi Bones and Will Areu.
Duplicity is the latest in a string of projects under Perry’s lucrative deal with Amazon Studios, following Divorce in the Black. In 2022, Perry inked a multi-film deal with Amazon Studios, giving the streaming giant exclusive rights to his upcoming projects. This partnership with Amazon has allowed him to bring more of his signature storytelling to a global audience.
