Lil Rel Howery surprised fans with a surprise appearance at an exclusive New York screening of Dog Man for Mocha Moms.
The special event gave attendees an early look at the animated superhero comedy, which brings Dav Pilkey’s best-selling children’s graphic novel series to life.
Dog Man follows the story of a courageous police officer and his loyal K-9 partner who are critically injured in the line of duty. In a last-ditch effort to save them, doctors perform an unconventional surgery—fusing the officer’s body with his dog’s head. The result? The crime-fighting, tail-wagging hero Dog Man!
As he adjusts to his new form, Dog Man is determined to impress his no-nonsense Chief (voiced by Howery) while tackling the city’s biggest threat: the mischievous feline supervillain Petey the Cat (voiced by Pete Davidson). When Petey attempts to clone himself, his evil plan backfires, creating a lovable kitten named Lil Petey. But when Lil Petey is captured by an unexpected enemy, Dog Man and Petey must set aside their differences and team up for an action-packed rescue mission.
