The NBA season just can’t get here fast enough.
The NBA released the schedules for the upcoming 2016-2017 season on Thursday, dazzling all NBA enthusiasts.
On Nov. 4, the New York Knicks take on the Chicago Bulls. This game is interesting as Derrick Rose, who, of course, is a former player on the Bulls, but is now suiting up for the Knicks. The Knicks made some other off season moves including acquiring Joakim Noah and Courtney Lee. Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis on the Knicks are no joke, too.
And, let’s not forget that Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo are new members of the Bulls; this should be a doozy.
The defending champs, the Cleveland Cavaliers, will face the Golden State Warriors on Christmas day. Nothing really needs to be said here, other than the two teams just went through a grueling a seven-game series, and LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, as well as the rest of the Cavs prevailed.
However, there is a new element to the story: Kevin Durant is a member of the Warriors.
Feb. 11 will showcase the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. In a recent turn of events, after Durant told Russell Westbrook he would resign with the Thunder, Durant signs with the Warriors, after the presentation of the millennium from the Warriors’ organization, apparently.
Westbrook has thrown shade towards Durant after reporters and friends have asked him about the Durant situation. We know Westbrook is liable to go for a triple-double, as well as punish the rim.
March 1. will feature the Cavs and the Celtics, a team that just acquired multi-talented big man Al Horford.  The Celtics are a young, feisty team, and, let’s not forget, they made it to the playoffs the last couple of seasons.
But, of course, there are other games.
