ASPiREtv NETWORK CELEBRATES THE PREMIERE OF “COMIC EDGE” WITH BUZZ PARTY AT TOP GOLF ATLANTA

ASPiREtv executives, industry tastemakers and Atlanta’s elite gathered together for the exclusive buzz party to celebrate the premiering of their new sketch comedy show, “Comic Edge”.Attendees had the opportunity to engage in an intimate session on the terrace of Top Golf Atlanta Midtown (1600 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318) as Host Robert Powell (Shaq All Star Comedy Jam) and cast mates Sydney Castillo (Fifty Shades of Black), Trey Moe (American Dirtbags) and Donnivin Jordan (“Laff Mobb’s We Got Next”) participated in Q&A. As the night continued, guests went on to socialize over complimentary food and drinks while also enjoying several rounds of golf in reserved bays.
The cast discussed what viewers can expect from “Comic Edge” and explained how it will provide non-stop laughter on real-life topics through sketch comedy, stand-up and improve. The goal to bring a message of change through comedy is what sets the show apart. The skits contain issues that plague the African- American community and will bring humor to everything from politics to dating and pop culture. “We are excited about this edgy and entertaining new series that will introduce ASPiRE viewers to fresh faces and new voices of up and coming comedians,” said Melissa Ingram, vice president, channel operations and business affairs, ASPiRE. “The vision for the network is to provide a platform for emerging talent as well as the generation of entertainers.”
“Comic Edge” is executive produced by Powell, Daniel Paul (“Laff Mobb’s We Got Next”) and Arthur Spivak (“Mad About You,” “Laff Mobb’s We Got Next”). ASPiRE has ordered eight half-hour episodes of the series. It will provide non-stop laughter on real-life topics through sketch comedy, stand-up and improv. The series is set to premiere on Thursday, May 26 at 10 p.m. EDT.
