Perseverance is What Landed Entrepreneur Paul Brunson a Job With Oprah Winfrey

Content creator Paul Brunson’s videos didn’t get that many videos at first.

But in an interview with The Diary Of A CEO, it was revealed that perseverance ultimately landed him a job with billionaire Oprah Winfrey.

Brunson’s videos every week brought in around 11 or 12 views, according to Yahoo. But despite the low number, he continued to push out quality content.

But little did he know that one of his viewers was Oprah Winfrey.

Oprah discovered Brunson during a time he was doing pro bono matchmaking, connecting with a client who was also a writer for O Magazine. It was during this time Oprah wanted to create a new TV show but needed a fresh voice. Brunson’s past client would go on to recommend him for the job.

“Oprah was watching this YouTube series,” Brunson said to The Diary Of A CEO’s host, Steven Bartlett. “When I always look at it, to me it is a powerful story because she ends up offering me a job to co-host a television show with her on her brand-new network off of this YouTube series that no one was watching but Oprah, my mother and like two other people.”

Brunson in 2012 would go on to co-host OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network’s Lovetown, USA, which is a reality documentary TV series that worked towards making Kingsland, GA, a loving community.

Brunson today creates content and is an expert for Married at First Sight UK.
