Carl Weber Examines the Power Struggle of Two Elite Families in ‘The Black Hamptons’ Series

New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber will be bringing his newest family drama series to BET+ this August.



Weber's new series titled Carl Weber's The Black Hamptons is set in the town of Sag Harbor in Long Island, New York, which is known as “The Black Hamptons". The premise follows two elite wealthy Black families, the "Brittons" and the "Johnsons," as they clash, examining the power struggle between families with new money versus families with old money.



Carl Weber's The Black Hamptons features a cast that includes Lammon Rucker, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Elise Neal, Brian White, Blac Chyna, Karon Riley, Mike Merrill, Aaron Spears, Daya Vaidya, Cameo Sherrell, Franklin Ojeda Smith, Jordan Smith, Jennifer Freeman and David Andrews. The series is produced by Weber’s Urban Books Media along with Tri Destined Studios’ Nikaya D. Brown Jones as executive producer and Trey Haley as co-executive producer. Grammy Award-winning producer Rico Love is on board as the series’ musical supervisor.

Tri Destined Studios and Urban Books Media also collaborated on Weber’s current hit BET series The Family Business. The Black Hamptons will premiere on Thursday, August 25th, 2022. The following week season four of The Family Business will premiere.
