"Judas And The Black Messiah" Storms Into The Oscar Race With Its Latest Trailer


Get Out Stars, Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield reunite in the Shaka King directed, Judas And The Black Messiah. Produced by Ryan Coogler, the film depicts the story of the assassination of revolutionary activist, Fred Hampton (played by Kaluuya), the chairman of the Black Panther Party. In the new trailer, we see Hampton lead an uprising while he approaches fatherhood, while FBI informant, William O’neal (played by Stanfield), struggles with a difficult ultimatum.



With its late entry into the Sundance Film Festival, which kicks off January 28th, Warner Bros is banking on the inspiring biopic to have a strong award season, with its strong, impactful message, while joining other Black award contending films such as One Night In Miami. Judas And The Black Messiah premieres in theater and HBO Max on February 12th.
