Travis Scott is set to star alongside Owen Wilson in the upcoming film Rolling Loud. The official teaser trailer for the R-rated comedy was released today but fans got a first look during the first night of the Rolling Loud festival in Orlando on May 8.
Directed by Jeremy Garelick, the movie follows an overprotective father (Wilson) who makes the questionable parenting decision to sneak his 13-year-old son into the high-energy festival. What starts as a “superhero father” moment quickly spirally into a chaotic adventure featuring a reckless coworker (played by comedian Matt Rife) and a series of increasingly bad choices.
Scott plays a central role as the festival’s headliner, a role he effectively “method acted” during the 2024 Rolling Loud Miami festival. Fans might remember the viral moment from December 2024 when Wilson surprised the crowd by joining Scott onstage during his performance of FE!N.
It turns out those weren’t just festival antics; they were actual scenes being filmed for the movie.
True to the Rolling Loud brand, the film isn’t just about the lead actors; its cast list reads more like a stacked festival poster than a standard movie credits roll. By featuring cameos and high-energy performances from industry heavyweights like Sexyy Red, Ty Dolla $ign, and Ski Mask the Slump God, the movie manages to capture the authentic, chaotic energy of the actual event for the big screen.
The production also features veteran talent like Henry Winkler and Dave star Christine Ko.
Rolling Loud is scheduled to hit theaters on October 2.
