At the heart of Relationship Goals is Leah Caldwell, played by Rowland, a brilliant TV producer on the verge of becoming the first woman to run New York’s top morning show. But just as history is within reach, her ex, Jarrett Roy (Method Man), reappears, competing for the same position and claiming he’s been transformed by the wisdom of Relationship Goals.

As Leah’s circle begins reading the book and reevaluating their own love lives, the story explores what happens when career ambition, emotional healing, and undeniable chemistry collide.

On the red carpet, Method Man kept it real about what drew him into the project. “Kelly Rowland made me want to be a part of it,” he shared. “Once I heard she was attached, I was on board. She’s fantastic at what she does.”

When asked what “relationship goals” look like for Black men, his answer was, “Finding someone that suits your purpose as well as you suit theirs.”

Pastor Todd, joined by his wife Natalie, spoke about the film and the message that made his book a phenomenon in the first place. “I think this movie is going to be a mirror in the culture,” Todd said. “It’s going to help people locate themselves in these crazy relational streets.”

His advice for those still looking for love? “Stay open… Hold your preferences like this… because you don’t know what package is going to come in.” Todd emphasized that real love can’t be curated for social media. “So many people fake what it looks like on Instagram… but you can’t Instagram integrity and you can’t Facebook faithfulness,” he added.

Moore brought a personal connection to the moment, sharing that Michael Todd once worked alongside him early in ministry. “Anything that he’s doing, I support it,” Moore said. “The hand of God is on his life.”

He also framed the film as something bigger than entertainment. “Whenever we do a movie that has anything to do with God and relationship, it’s important to not look at it as entertainment. It’s important to look at it as a tool.” Willie Moore Jr
