Quinton Aaron, best known for his breakout role as Michael Oher in The Blind Side, is currently hospitalized after suffering a fall at his home. According to his family, the situation has become extremely serious.

A GoFundMe launched on Aaron’s behalf states that the actor is now on life support due to a severe blood infection, describing the sudden health crisis as both frightening and overwhelming for those closest to him.

Many fans remember Aaron as the gentle giant who brought heart and humanity to one of the most emotional sports films of the last two decades. But in the fundraiser, his loved ones emphasize that his impact goes far beyond what audiences saw on screen.

“Those who truly know Quinton know something even more powerful than his performances,” the page reads. “His heart. Quinton is one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. He shows up for others. He encourages, uplifts, and gives freely of himself.”

Now, they say, he needs that same support returned.

As Aaron continues to fight for his life, his family is also facing the heavy emotional and financial toll that comes with a medical emergency of this magnitude. The fundraiser notes that expenses do not pause in moments like this, and the burden of medical bills, living costs, and uncertainty has quickly piled up.

“When someone is this critically ill, life doesn’t pause,” the statement continues. “Bills don’t stop. Expenses continue to pile up. And no family should have to choose between focusing on their loved one’s survival and worrying about how they will make it through financially.”

Aaron’s manager, Katrina Fristoe, confirmed to The Daily Mail that he is currently surrounded by family and receiving strong medical care.

“The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of support from fans and the media,” she shared, “but respectfully requests privacy during this time.”

No further updates have been provided yet, though Fristoe noted that the family plans to share more once Aaron is in better condition.
