The holidays are supposed to be joyful, but let’s be honest, they can also be brutal.

Between packed calendars, family obligations, financial pressure, and nonstop noise, the season can start to feel like a full-contact sport.

Pluto TV isn’t pretending otherwise. Instead, the free streaming platform is leaning all the way in with its new Holidays Are Brutal campaign, a celebration of controlled chaos, action-packed escapism, and unapologetic stress relief.

As part of the campaign, Pluto TV teamed up with Total Rage ATL to provide guests with an unconventional yet deeply satisfying outlet: a holiday-themed rage room experience designed to help people literally release their stress.

We were invited to experience it firsthand.

Upon arrival, The Quintessential Gentleman was welcomed with VIP treatment, setting the tone for what would become a release, not just of rage, but of tension we didn’t even realize we were carrying. After a brief safety walkthrough, guests suited up in protective outerwear, boots, goggles, and helmets before being escorted into the Rage Room.

From there, it was go time.

Inside, we were given free rein to destroy everything from glass bottles and plates to electronics, all while holiday frustration met action-movie energy. It was loud, physical, cathartic, and oddly therapeutic.

By the end of the session, the consensus was clear: stress in, relief out. Consider it cardio with an emotional payoff.

That feeling is exactly what Pluto TV’s Holidays Are Brutal collection taps into on screen.

The campaign celebrates the idea that sometimes the best way to survive the season is to lean into high-octane escapism. Pluto TV’s holiday lineup features 70+ of the biggest and boldest action hits of all time, pulling from iconic franchises like Fast & Furious, Rambo, Indiana Jones, The Expendables, and Blade. It also balances the intensity with classic action-comedies, including Rush Hour, Bad Boys, 21 Jump Street, Charlie’s Angels, Beverly Hills Cop, and Austin Powers, all streaming free.

As if the release wasn’t memorable enough, Pluto TV recorded our session and compiled highlight clips into a custom video montage, proof that sometimes the best holiday memories come from breaking things instead of buying them.

The takeaway? Pluto TV understands today’s holiday experience. It’s messy, loud, stressful, and occasionally overwhelming. And instead of telling people to calm down, they’re offering an outlet, on screen and in real life.

This season, if the holidays feel brutal, Pluto TV is giving you permission to fight back, one smash, stunt, and explosion at a time.
