Hulu has officially released the first teaser trailer for season two of Paradise, the post-apocalyptic thriller from This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman.

It will premiere on February 23, with the first three episodes, followed by weekly drops on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

The announcement came out of Brazil Comic Con (CCXP), where Fogelman hinted that season two will deliver on the promise of deep revelations, part of his three-season master plan to fully unravel Paradise’s secrets.

Season one left us hanging on a major cliffhanger, and the new footage confirms a game-changing development: Sterling K. Brown’s character, Xavier Collins, makes it out of the underground bunker that housed humanity’s supposed final survivors. The world he discovers above is far from what anyone expected, and he’s on a mission driven by hope and heartbreak.

Xavier sets out to find his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma), who he believed died during the near-extinction event that forced survivors into the bunker city known as Paradise. The trailer shows Xavier battling through harsh terrain to uncover the truth.

The teaser also confirms the return of James Marsden as the once-President Cal Bradford and offers a glimpse at newcomer Shailene Woodley, whose mysterious new character is sure to stir the plot. Fans will also get another appearance from Billy, played by Jon Beavers, whose presence raises questions of both memory and meaning.

But the biggest teaser comes from the show’s villain, Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson), dropping a chilling revelation: It was never just about the bunker.”

Hulu’s official synopsis sets the tone for the next chapter:

“Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of season one, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.”

There’s also a notable casting addition: Ryan Michelle Bathé has joined the ensemble, starring opposite her real-life husband, Sterling K. Brown.
