The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a disturbing discovery in Hollywood after human remains were found inside a Tesla registered to rising music star D4vd.

According to LAPD, officers responded to a report of a foul odor coming from an impounded vehicle at a tow yard on North Mansfield Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday. Inside the car’s front trunk, police located a body concealed in a bag.

The Tesla, registered in Hempstead, Texas, is connected to 20-year-old musician David Anthony Burke, better known as D4vd. Authorities say the vehicle had been on the property for several days before the discovery. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and investigators have not disclosed how the body ended up inside the car.

With more than 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a devoted fanbase of 3.6 million followers on TikTok, D4vd has become one of Gen Z’s breakout artists. His viral hits Here with Me and Romantic Homicide helped launch his career, and earlier this year he dropped his debut album to critical acclaim.

The Houston native is currently on his Withered World Tour, with a show scheduled in Minneapolis on Tuesday and a Los Angeles stop slated for September 20.

As of now, D4vd and his team have not released a statement regarding the investigation. The singer has limited comments on his social media accounts in recent days, while fans have flooded his pages with concern and speculation.

Police say the case remains open, with the LAPD Major Crimes Division working to identify the victim and determine whether foul play is involved.
