Gunna is taking his next stride outside the studio and onto the track. Yesterday, the rapper officially launched his Wunna Run Club in Brooklyn.
The initiative comes at a time when headlines around Young Thug and the YSL crew continue to swirl, but Gunna remains focused on health, community, and giving back—not controversy.
The club’s first major event, the WUNNA RUN 5K, takes place on Wednesday, September 3, at Prospect Park in Brooklyn. The race is free to enter, with runners encouraged to donate to nonprofits that serve underserved communities. The event is a collaboration between Gunna’s Atlanta-based charity, Great Giveaway, and race organizer NYCRUNS.
Not one to just stand on the sidelines, Gunna plans to lace up and run the 5K himself alongside his manager. Recently on TikTok and Instagram, Gunna has been posting his workouts, looking leaner, and doubling down on a healthier lifestyle.
For years, Gunna has been known for his influence in music and fashion. Now, it looks like he wants to make his mark in fitness. By launching the Wunna Run Club, the rapper is offering fans and community members a way to connect beyond concerts and playlists. This is about showing up differently, running side by side, encouraging wellness, and proving that health can be a cultural movement too.
The WUNNA RUN 5K is just the start. With Gunna’s investment in wellness brands and his growing presence in the fitness space, the run club is set to become a recurring effort.
Brooklyn gets the first look, but if Gunna’s vision holds, Wunna Run Club may be lacing up in cities nationwide.
The WUNNA RUN 5K kicks off Wednesday, September 3, at Prospect Park. Free to enter. Donations encouraged.
