The first poster for HIM has officially been revealed.
Produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and set to hit theaters on September 19, 2025, HIM reimagines horror through an unexpected lens — the brutal world of football — with visual and thematic inspiration pulled from classic spaghetti Westerns.
Directed by Joe vs. Carole‘s Justin Tipping, HIM stars Marlon Wayans in a dramatic turn as a once-revered quarterback whose days of glory are fading. His world is shaken when a rising talent, played by Tyriq Withers, arrives at his remote training compound. But what begins as mentorship quickly descends into obsession, power struggles, and psychological warfare.
Wayans is trading laughs for layered emotional complexity with early insiders already whispering about awards season potential.

Tyriq Withers, a rising actor and content creator, takes center stage as the ambitious young athlete navigating fame, control, and fear. The supporting cast includes Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, and breakout music stars Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, both making their feature film debuts.
Universal Pictures and Monkeypaw describe the film as a “psychological horror sports movie, translated through a classic spaghetti Western lens,” a fittingly bizarre mash-up that promises both suspense and social commentary — Peele’s signature blend.
Prepare for a haunting kickoff this fall. HIM lands in theaters September 19, 2025.
